One bright spring morning, a girl named Mahym traveled to Ashgabat with her family. She lived in a small town, so visiting the capital city always felt exciting. As their car entered Ashgabat, Mahym looked out the window and admired the tall white buildings shining under the sun. The streets were clean and wide, and the city felt calm and beautiful.
Their first stop was Independence Park. Mahym walked slowly between the trees and monuments, enjoying the soft sound of the fountains. The clear water sparkled in the light, and families were taking photos near the flowers. Mahym’s father pointed at a tall statue, showing its meaning and history, while her mother took pictures of her.
Later, they visited the National Museum of Turkmenistan. Inside, Mahym saw old jewelry, traditional clothing, ancient carpets, and pottery. Each item told a story about the past. She felt proud to learn more about her culture and imagined how people lived many years ago.
At lunchtime, the family went to a small café. Mahym ate warm bread and tasted a bowl of delicious şorpa. Through the window, she watched buses, bicycles, and people walking peacefully through the city.
In the afternoon, they went to the Alem Ferris Wheel. When Mahym reached the top, she saw the whole city below—white buildings, long avenues, green parks, and distant mountains. Everything looked bright and magical from above.
When the day ended, Mahym felt tired but happy. As they drove home, she thought to herself that Ashgabat was one of the most beautiful places she had ever seen, and she hoped to visit again soon.
