A Construction Worker Building a New Home

In a growing neighborhood near Türkmenbashy, a construction worker named Batyr begins his day at sunrise. He puts on his work boots, gloves, and a strong yellow helmet. Before leaving home, he drinks hot green tea and eats a piece of chorek. Today will be a long and busy day because the team is building a new family home.

When Batyr arrives at the construction site, he greets his coworkers. Some are mixing cement, others are carrying bricks, and a few are measuring the land. The sound of tools fills the air—hammers, drills, and saws. Dust rises gently as the workers move around.

Batyr’s main job is to help build the walls. He carries heavy bricks from the truck to the building area. Even though the work is difficult, he enjoys it because he knows this house will become someone’s safe and happy home. He carefully places each brick in a straight line and spreads cement between them with a metal tool.

An older worker named Hojamyrat aga checks the work and nods.

“Batyr, you are doing well. Remember, strong walls protect families.”

Batyr smiles proudly. He always tries to work with care.

Later in the morning, Batyr helps install wooden beams for the roof. He climbs up the ladder slowly, holding the beams tightly. Teamwork is important, so he communicates clearly with the others.

“Lift slowly… hold it there… good!” he says.

At lunchtime, the workers sit together under a small tree. They open their lunch bags—kebab, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and bread. They talk about their families, their villages, and stories from past projects. The break is short, but it gives them energy to continue.

In the afternoon, a small problem appears: part of the floor is uneven. Batyr and his partner measure again and fix the issue with new cement. They work until the surface looks smooth and safe.

As the sun starts to set, the new home begins to take shape. The walls are higher, and the structure looks strong. Batyr wipes sweat from his forehead and feels satisfied.

He thinks to himself,

“Construction work is hard, but building a home brings joy to the heart.”

He packs his tools and walks home, tired but proud of the progress they made.
