In a quiet village near Mary, a hardworking farmer named Azat wakes up before sunrise. The sky is still dark, and only the sound of roosters can be heard. Azat stretches his back, washes his face with cool water, and drinks a cup of hot green tea with fresh bread. Today will be a busy day because it is harvest morning on his small farm.
He takes his old but reliable tractor and drives toward the fields. The air is fresh, and the smell of damp soil reminds him of his childhood. As the sun slowly rises, golden light spreads across his melon and wheat fields. The melons are known for their sweetness, and Azat takes great pride in growing them.
When he reaches the melon field, he checks the fruits by tapping them gently.
“These are ready,” he says with a smile.
Soon, his two helpers, Tom and Leo, arrive. They carry baskets and begin picking the ripe melons. The melons are heavy, but the boys work happily because they enjoy being outdoors. Uncle Azat teaches them how to choose the best ones.
“Always look for smooth skin and a sweet smell,” he explains.
After the melons, they move to the wheat field. The wheat waves softly in the morning wind. Azat cuts bundles while the boys tie them together. The warm sun begins to shine more strongly, but the work continues with laughter and simple conversations.
During a short break, they sit under a small tree. Uncle Azat shares a cold yogurt drink and dried fruit with the boys.
“Farming is hard work,” he says, “but it feeds families and brings good results.”
After the break, they load the melons onto the tractor trailer and prepare to take them to the village market. By the time they arrive, people are already waiting. Women check the melons carefully, smell them, and smile.
“These are very sweet this year!” they say.
Azat feels proud. His hard work has brought good results once again. As the sun begins to set, he heads back home, tired but happy. He knows tomorrow will bring more work, but also more good days.
