In a bright hospital in Mary city, a gentle and hardworking nurse named Aýnur begins her morning shift. She puts on her clean white uniform, checks her medical tools, and ties her hair neatly. Aýnur loves her job because she enjoys helping people feel better.
Before starting her rounds, she looks at the patient list and organizes her tasks. Some patients need medicine, some need their blood pressure checked, and others simply need a warm smile. With a deep breath, she begins her day.
Her first stop is an elderly man named Myrat aga. He is recovering from a small surgery.
“Good morning, Aýnur” he says softly.
“Good morning, aga. How are you feeling today?” she asks with a caring voice.
She checks his pulse and temperature, writes notes in her chart, and reminds him to drink water.
Next, she visits a young mother who recently had a baby. The baby is sleeping peacefully in a small bed beside her.
“Do you need anything?” Aýnur asks.
“Maybe some advice on how to hold him better,” the mother replies nervously.
Aýnur gently shows her how to support the baby’s head and gives her confidence.
“You’re doing great. Just be patient with yourself,” she says, smiling.
Around noon, the hospital becomes busier. A faint sound of footsteps and medical carts echo through the hallways. A child with a sprained ankle arrives, crying. Aýnur kneels down to his level.
“Don’t worry, bala. We will fix it,” she says kindly.
She cleans the wound, applies bandages, and gives him a small sticker for being brave. He smiles for the first time.
In the afternoon, Aýnur helps a doctor with an examination. She prepares tools, records information, and explains procedures to patients in simple language so they won’t feel afraid. She believes that kindness heals just as much as medicine.
When her shift is almost over, she walks past each room once more to make sure everyone is comfortable. She adjusts pillows, brings water, and speaks gently to anyone feeling lonely.
As the sun sets, Aýnur finally takes off her gloves and sits down for a moment. She is tired but proud.
She thinks,
“Nursing is not only about medicine—it is about care, patience, and heart.”
She leaves the hospital knowing she made someone’s day better.
