Every morning in a small school in Balkanabat, a kind teacher named Ms. Jemal begins her day before the students arrive. She wakes up early, drinks hot green tea, and reviews her lesson plans while eating breakfast. Teaching is her passion, and she always wants her students to feel welcome and excited to learn.
When she arrives at the school, the hallway is quiet. The sun shines softly through the windows, and the smell of clean floors fills the air. Jemal walks to her classroom carrying a stack of notebooks, colorful chalk, and small flashcards she made the night before.
Her classroom is bright and simple. There are posters of letters, numbers, and animals on the walls. On her desk sits a vase with fresh flowers that one of her students brought last week. She smiles and whispers,
“Today will be a good day.”
She starts by cleaning the board and writing the date. Then she arranges the chairs in a neat circle because today’s lesson will include group activities. She prepares a short reading story, a vocabulary game, and a math exercise. When everything is ready, she takes a deep breath and listens to the sound of children arriving.
Soon the classroom door opens, and cheerful voices fill the room.
“Good morning, teacher!” the students say.
“Good morning, everyone,” she replies warmly.
The lesson begins with a reading activity. Jemal reads a short story slowly, pointing to each line. The students listen carefully. After reading, she asks questions, and the students raise their hands excitedly. Some answers are correct, some are not, but Jemal always encourages them.
Later, she uses the flashcards for a vocabulary game. The children laugh and try to remember the words as quickly as possible. During the math activity, Jemal walks around the room, helping students who need extra support.
When the lunch bell rings, the class ends. The students leave the room happily, waving goodbye. Jemal stays behind for a moment, collecting notebooks and preparing homework. She feels tired but satisfied.
She looks around the empty classroom and thinks,
“Every day brings new challenges, but teaching fills my heart with joy.”
Then she turns off the lights, picks up her bag, and walks out, ready for another beautiful school day tomorrow.
