Today Mahym visits her aunt’s home after school. Her aunt Melek welcomes her with a warm smile. “Come in, dear,” she says. The house smells like fresh çörek. Mahym feels happy.
They sit together at the table. Melek shows Mahym how to make a simple Turkmen dessert. Mahym mixes the dough slowly while her aunt watches gently.
“Good job,” Melek says. “You are learning fast.”
After cooking, they drink tea and taste the dessert. It is sweet and soft. Mahym smiles proudly.
Before going home, Melek gives her a small bag of treats. Mahym hugs her aunt and says, “Thank you.”
She walks home thinking, “I love visiting my aunt.”
