In the city of Turkmenbashi, a young engineer named Oraz begins his first year at a construction company. He recently graduated from university and is excited to use his knowledge to help build new places for people. Every day, he wakes up early, drinks hot green tea, and reviews his plans before going to work.
When Oraz arrives at the construction site, the sun is still low in the sky. Workers are already moving around, carrying tools and preparing materials. The sound of hammers, machines, and voices fills the air. Oraz greets everyone politely and checks his notes.
His project is to help design a small community center for a nearby neighborhood. It will include a library, a classroom, and a meeting room. Even though it is not a very big project, it is very important to him because it is his first real responsibility.
Oraz begins his morning by measuring the land. He uses a ruler, a measuring tape, and his notebook. He double-checks everything to make sure the building will be safe and strong. While he works, an older engineer named Mr. Dovran watches him and says,
“Always check your work twice. A good engineer is careful.”
Oraz nods respectfully. He wants to learn as much as he can.
Later, he walks around the site to observe the workers. Some are mixing cement, others are setting bricks in a straight line. Oraz gives simple instructions and helps when needed. He feels proud when the workers listen to him and ask questions.
During lunch, Oraz sits with the team. They eat together and talk about past projects. They share stories from different regions of the country. Oraz enjoys listening to them because their experience teaches him valuable lessons.
In the afternoon, a problem appears. One of the walls is slightly uneven. Oraz feels worried, but he remembers Mr. Dovran’s advice. He checks the measurements again and explains calmly how to fix the issue. The workers follow his instructions, and soon the wall looks perfect.
As the sun sets, Oraz writes his daily report and takes one last look at the construction site. He smiles proudly.
“Every day brings new challenges,” he thinks, “but I am becoming a better engineer.”
He walks home tired but happy, ready for another day of learning and building.
