Autumn Walk in the Park

Autumn has arrived, and the weather in Turkmenistan is cooler now. The summer heat is gone, and a soft wind moves through the trees. Leaves are turning yellow, red, and orange. Some fall slowly to the ground, making a colorful carpet on the paths. Maya and her older brother Kerim love this season, so one Saturday morning they decide to take a walk in the big city park near their home.

When they enter the park, Maya looks around with excitement.

“Look at all the colors!” she says.

Kerim nods. “Autumn is beautiful. The air feels fresh.”

They walk along the path, listening to the crunchy sound of dry leaves under their shoes. Birds fly above them, and a few squirrels jump from tree to tree, looking for nuts. Maya bends down and picks up a big orange leaf.

“This one is perfect,” she says, placing it carefully in her bag.

As they continue walking, they see families sitting on benches, drinking tea and talking. Small children run around, throwing leaves into the air. Maya and Kerim decide to join them for a moment. Kerim picks up a handful of leaves and tosses them gently over Maya’s head. She laughs and spins around as the leaves fall like soft rain.

Later, the two siblings reach a small lake inside the park. The water is calm and reflects the trees like a mirror. Ducks swim slowly across the surface. Maya throws a small piece of bread, and the ducks gather around happily.

Kerim takes a deep breath. “Autumn feels peaceful,” he says.

“I agree,” Maya answers. “It’s not too hot, not too cold. It’s just right.”

They sit on a bench and watch the sun begin to set behind the trees. The sky turns pink and gold, making the park look even more magical. Maya thinks about school starting again soon and feels excited to meet her classmates.

As they leave the park, Maya holds her brother’s hand and says,

“I’m glad we came today.”

Kerim smiles.

“Me too. Autumn is full of simple, beautiful moments.”
