Cooking Together in the Kitchen

This afternoon, Mahym is in the kitchen with her mother. Her mother is preparing dinner, and Mahym wants to help. She washes her hands and says, “Can I cook with you?”

Her mother smiles and gives her a small bowl. “You can mix the ingredients,” she says.

Mahym mixes slowly and carefully. She watches her mother cut vegetables and learns each step. The kitchen smells warm and delicious.

After the food is ready, they set the table together. Mahym brings bread and places it nicely.

“You did a great job today,” her mother says.

Mahym feels proud and happy.
