Friends Talking About the Seasons - Iňlis dili Gysga hekaýa

One quiet afternoon, four friends—Arslan, Melek, Kerim, and Maya—sat together under a tall tree near their school. The sun was warm, and a soft wind moved the leaves above their heads. They had finished their homework early, so they decided to talk about their favorite seasons.

Arslan was the first to speak. He smiled and said,

“I love winter. Winter is cold, but it makes me happy. I like watching snow fall from the sky. I also enjoy playing outside with my friends. We make snowballs and build snowmen. When I come home, my mother gives me hot tea, and it feels wonderful.”

Melek laughed softly.

“I don’t like winter very much,” she said. “I like spring. Spring is warm and cool at the same time. Flowers start to grow, and the world becomes colorful again. I enjoy walking in the garden with my grandmother. She shows me new flowers every year. Birds return and sing in the morning. Spring makes me feel peaceful.”

Kerim raised his hand and said,

“My favorite season is summer. Summer is hot, but it is full of fun. We do not have school, so I spend more time with my family. We go to the beach near the Caspian Sea. I swim, eat cold ice cream, and play football with my cousins. Summer is the season of freedom.”

Maya waited patiently, then said with a smile,

“Well, I love autumn. Autumn has beautiful colors—yellow, red, orange. The weather becomes cooler, and the wind feels soft. I enjoy walking through the park and kicking the dry leaves. Autumn is also the time when school starts again. I like buying new notebooks and meeting my classmates.”

The four friends looked at each other and laughed.

“It seems each of us loves a different season,” Melek said.

“Yes,” Arslan answered, “but that is what makes the world interesting.”

Kerim nodded. “Every season has something special.”

Maya added, “And we can enjoy them together.”

The wind blew gently again, and the children felt grateful for the simple, beautiful moments they shared. No matter which season they liked best, they knew their friendship made every day brighter.
