Late Afternoon Playtime. Iňlis dili Gysga hekaýa.

In the late afternoon, after school, Azat and his neighbor Melek like to play outside.

The sun is lower in the sky, and a cool breeze moves through the trees.

Azat brings his small football, and Melek brings her jump rope.

They play in the yard between their houses, laughing as they take turns with each game.

Sometimes Azat kicks the ball too far, and Melek runs to bring it back.

Other times Melek jumps so fast that Azat counts the numbers loudly.

Their mothers watch from a distance while talking together.

The warm light of the afternoon makes everything feel calm and happy.

When it starts to get a little darker, the children hear their mothers call,

“Come home, it’s time to rest!”

Azat and Melek wave and run inside with big smiles.
