Today Aly has a school project about family. His teacher asks the students to draw a simple family tree. When Aly comes home, he sits at the table and takes out his notebook. He wants to make a good project, but he is not sure where to start.
His mother sits beside him and says, “Let’s do it together.”
She shows him how to draw lines and write the names: mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, and grandfather. Aly carefully writes each name and draws small pictures next to them.
When he finishes, he smiles proudly. His mother says, “Great job!”
Aly thinks, “Now I understand my family better.”
