Summer has arrived, and the weather in Turkmenistan is hot and bright. Schools are closed, and families are ready to enjoy the long, warm days. Arslan, Melek, and their parents decide to take a summer trip to the Caspian Sea, near Türkmenbaşy. The children have been excited for days because they love swimming and playing on the beach.
Early in the morning, the family prepares their bags. Arslan packs his towel, swimsuit, and a small ball. Melek brings her favorite hat, sunglasses, and a book to read. Their mother prepares sandwiches and cold fruit, while their father checks the car. Soon, they begin their journey.
The road is long, but the scenery is beautiful. They pass golden fields, tall mountains, and small villages. Melek watches everything from the window and says,
“Summer is my favorite season. Everything looks alive.”
When they finally reach the sea, the children run toward the water. The waves sparkle under the sun, and the wind feels soft and warm. Arslan jumps into the sea first, shouting with joy. Melek follows him, laughing as the waves touch her feet.
After swimming for a while, they build sandcastles together. Arslan makes a tall tower, and Melek decorates it with seashells she finds on the shore. Their parents sit under an umbrella, drinking cold water and watching them with happy smiles.
Later, the family eats their sandwiches and fruit. The sea breeze keeps them cool even though the sun is strong. Arslan says,
“This is the best day of summer!”
In the afternoon, they walk along the beach, looking for interesting stones and shells. Seagulls fly above them, and small crabs crawl near the rocks. The children pick a few smooth stones to take home as memories.
As the sun begins to set, the sky turns pink and orange. The family packs their things and prepares to leave. Melek holds her father’s hand and says softly,
“I wish summer never ended.”
Her father smiles.
“Summer ends, but beautiful days always return.”
The family drives home feeling relaxed, happy, and thankful for a perfect summer day by the sea.
