Takes a Family Photo

Today Maya wants to take a family photo. Her mother and father are at home, and Maya’s little brother Aly is playing near the window. Maya says, “Let’s take a picture together!”

Her mother smiles and brings a small Turkmen carpet. They sit together on the carpet in the living room. Maya fixes her dress and helps Aly sit next to her. Her father holds the camera.

“Ready?” he asks. Everyone smiles. Click! He takes a warm, happy family photo.

After the picture, they drink tea and eat sweets. Maya looks at the photo and thinks,

“This is a nice memory with my family.”
