Welcoming a New Baby

Kerim is very excited today. His mother and father bring home a new baby. The baby is his little sister, Mahym. Kerim looks at her and smiles. She is small and sleeping quietly.

His mother says, “Kerim, this is your baby sister.”

Kerim speaks softly, “She is very cute.”

He sits next to his mother and watches the baby move her tiny hands.

His father brings tea and says, “You are a big brother now.” Kerim feels proud. He wants to help the family. He brings a small blanket for the baby and gently places it near her.

The family sits together and enjoys this special moment.

Kerim thinks, “I will always take care of my sister.”
